About
I’m Dom - a gardener, ecological designer, and land steward.
I help people create gardens that live and breathe: places where food, wildlife, and people all thrive together.
My background spans market gardening and orchard care in France and the UK, community food projects, and four years at the Soil Association advising farmers on organic, regenerative and agroecological practices.
That work shaped how I garden: with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, long-term resilience, and working with natural processes rather than against them.
I’ve trained in sustainable land management (BASIS), completed a Permaculture Design Course, and spent years studying practical ecology, wildflower meadows, no-dig growing, and wildlife-friendly design. But most of my learning has come from being outside - tending my own no-dig allotment, observing the quiet intelligence of plants and soil life, and walking with my beagle, Hugo.
Today, I work across gardens, orchards, and rural properties in the South West, offering long-term ecological care shaped by the needs of each place and the rhythms of the seasons.
A Living Garden is more than a garden. It’s an ecosystem, a sanctuary, and a relationship. My work is to help you create one - whether through design, hands-on creation, or attention given over time.
